Stabilised Chlorine Dioxide
INTRODUCTION
INSTA-DIOX is an effective specialised biocide based on stabilised chlorine dioxide for use in water sanitation. It also finds application in food processing and for odour control.
INSTA-DIOX is a very potent and powerful, non toxic, bactericidal, fungicidal, virucidal, sporicidal biocide, activated by the use of ACTIVA (activator). It provides a clean water distribution system at concentrations as low as 0.1ppm over a wide range of pH.

MODE OF ACTION
INSTA-DIOX penetrates the cell wall and reacts with vital amino acids in the cytoplasm. Subsequently, it destroys proteins and cell structure by bursting the nucleus thereby ensuring total cidal effect and not allowing resistant / mutant stains to develop.
UNIQUE ADVANTAGES
If drinking water source is surface water, it contains organic materials. Use of INSTA-DIOX offers benefits such as first functioning as an oxidative rather than chlorinating reaction. This virtually eliminates the formation of chlorinated organic compounds. Secondly, ClO2 is generated on site, thereby eliminating the need for site storage of Chlorine and or transportation thereof.
